This is one of the very interesting places to visit in Bangalore. The Lal Bagh Botanical Garden is known nationally as well as internationally for its study and conservation of plants. Not only that, it also has a huge aquarium and a lake inside. You’ll find some of the most exotic species of plants there. This botanical garden is definitely for the photographer and nature lover in you. If you happen to be visiting in January or August, then it is the perfect time for some beautiful flower shows there. The entry fee to the garden is only INR 10 for adults and free for children. And it is open from 6.00am to 7.00pm.
3. Bannerghatta National Park
Bannerghatta National Park is on the outskirts of Bangalore, roughly 20 km and is one of the most popular tourist attractions. It is home to an amazing variety of flora and fauna and attracts a large number of tourists from around the world. The national park also has a butterfly park inside too. The best thing we liked about it was the jungle safari where we got a chance to get up close and personal with the wildlife there. You should not miss out on the safari while you’re there. You will really cherish the moments we are sure. As for the entry fee, for adults it is INR 80 per head and INR 40 for children between 6 and 12 years. And you can take the safari only from 10.00am to 4.30pm.
4. ISKON Temple
The International Society for Krishna Consciousness is world-renowned and there’s no doubt about that. There you’ll see Krishna followers from everywhere around the globe. This temple is not only frequented by the Krishna followers, but is also very famous among tourists. It is one of the very spiritual and peaceful places in Bangalore. At the time of puja, the whole place fills up and there won’t be a single soul standing still. The devotees and tourists alike are all either dancing or singing praises to Lord Krishna there. It is a sight worth seeing for sure. On weekdays, the temple is open from 7.15am to 1.00pm and 4.15pm to 8.20pm and on the weekends from 7.15am to 8.30pm.

If roller coasters, ferris wheel and water rides are your thing then you simply cannot miss going to Wonderla Amusement Park in Bangalore. It is open from 11.00am to 6.00pm on weekdays and up till 7.00 pm on weekends and it really the most fun amusement park the city has to offer. 6. Malleswaram
Malleswaram is a neighbourhood in the outskirts of Bangalore known for its centuries old temples, which is why you must visit there. The best thing you’ll find about this place is the very systematic numbering of the streets. When it gets too crowded (especially in the evenings), it’s very easy to find your way, thanks to the street names and numberings. A very remarkable thing about Malleswaram is that it has nothing similar to of the hustle and bustle of the city of Bangalore. It is a very authentic part Bengaluru, where the spirit of the days gone is almost palpable and still alive in the temples and old thriving markets there.
7. Tipu Sultan Fort and Palace
If you’re a history buff, then one of the most interesting landmarks in Bangalore for you would be Tipu Sultan Fort and Palace. The two-storied palace made of teak wood may not be as huge as you think it would be. But it has a very rich historical background with Islamic architecture and beautiful lush green gardens surrounding it. The visit to the palace is very easily combined with a stroll in the Lal Bagh Botanical Garden. The palace is open to the public from 8.30am to 5.30pm every day of the week and the entry fee is a mere INR 15 for Indian nationals and INR 200 for foreign nationals.
8. Innovative Film City
Now if you’re looking for a number of family oriented attractions in Bangalore, head to the Innovative Film City. It really is a treasure trove of fun and entertainment. It has a film studio (obviously where films are shot), Cartoon city, Aqua kingdom, Dino park, fossil and wax museum, Karting, Bungee jumping – and the list goes on. We honestly could not do everything we wanted in one whole day we spent there. It is open every day from 10.00am to 7.00pm and the entry fee varies on what you want to see. A standard, regular entry is INR 600 and additional fee is charged for Go Karting, automatic bull rides, cricket, bungee jumping and some other rides and attractions. They also have a 4-D cinemafor additional INR 100 per person. One thing is guarantee –, you’re not going to get bored!
9. Cauvery Handicrafts
Another great tourist attraction in Bangalore is Cauvery Handicrafts which houses a vast collection of artefacts from the state of Karnataka. We were amazed to see how beautiful the entire collection of handicrafts was – it especially refers to the pieces made of sandalwood. Pick out what you like most and buy it on the spot – the attendants will give you the receipts and then you will get your souvenirs at the billing counter on the exit. We would highly recommend visiting this place if you’re looking for souvenirs of all shapes and sizes and all budgets for your friends and family back home.
10. Room Escape Games
This has to be one of the funniest tourist attractions in Bangalore. The idea of room escape games is that you’re given 45 minutes to solve a puzzle and escape the room. We really had our adrenaline pumping when we were there. You’ll have the best experience when you go with a bunch of your friends. And yes, if you find yourself stuck in any puzzle, just press the help button and keep moving on! For so much fun, INR 500 per person looks quite reasonable.
