Very few long distance trains are still running.
Most notably, trains on the most popular route in the country between Bangkok and Chiang Mai have been cancelled.
Special Express train 40 from Surat Thani to Bangkok will be suspended indefinitely starting from Wednesday. The last two runs of S. Exp. 40 before suspension will be on Monday and Tuesday morning.
Some commuter and ordinary trains between Bangkok, Lopburi and Phitsanulok are still running.
On Monday, April, 6, express trains 71 from Bangkok to Ubon Ratchathani, in the easternmost province of Isan, and 75 to Nong Khai, on the border with Laos, will make their final run.
On Tuesday, April, 7, Special Express 8 from Chiang Mai to Bangkok will make its final run and so will Express trains 72 from Ubon Ratchathani and 76 from Nong Khai.
Only commuter, ordinary and local trains will operate starting from Wednesday, April, 8 including Bangkok–Denchai, Phitsanulok, Lopburi, Ban Pachi, Suphanburi, Chachoengsao and Prachinburi. There will be one rapid train to Ubon Ratchathani as well. Getting to Ubon and Nong Khai by train will be possible from Nakhon Ratchasima, too.
All Maeklong Line trains are cancelled.
