Airport staff, headed by the chairman of the airport coordination committee, representatives of Yangon Aerodrome Co Ltd (YACL), which operates the airport, and IndiGo Airlines, the airline that brought the lucky passenger from Kolkata to Yangon, greeted the family of Ameeramsa Musthafa presenting them gifts.
Last year, Yangon International Airport welcomed 6.035 million passengers, and this time the record will be broken. 37 international airlines fly to Yangon providing direct air links with 37 destinations in 14 countries. International routes added this year resulted in a 8 percent growth of arrivals so far compared to the same period in 2018.
