VietJet to Fly between HCMC and Pattaya

Vietjet, Vietnam's international low-cost airline, has revealed their plans to launch direct flights between Ho Chi Minh City in Vietnam and Pattaya (U-Tapao airport) in Thailand effective from December 23, 2019.

While VietJet does already fly to different destinations in Thailand including Bangkok, Phuket and Chiang Mai and also operates several domestic routes in Thailand from Suvarnabhumi airport in Bangkok and Chiang Rai airport, it is the first time the airline will fly to U-Tapao.

The route will be served on a daily bases with flights from U-Tapao to HCMC leaving at 11.25 am and the return flight from Saigon departing at 1.25 pm. Flight time in either direction is between 75 and 90 minutes. Both Pattaya and HCMC are located within the same time zone.

HCMC–Pattaya route will become the eighth route between Vietnam and Thailand in the airline's portfolio. Other routes are from Hanoi, Saigon, Danang, Haiphong and Dalat to Bangkok (Suvarnabhumi airport) and two routes from HCMC – to Chiang Mai and Phuket. Domestic routes in Thailand offered by VietJet are Chiang Mai, Chiang Rai, Phuket, Krabi, Udon Thani from Suvarnabhumi plus Chiang Rai to Phuket and Udon Thani.
