Thai VietJet to Fly Direct Between Udon Thani and Bangkok, Chiang Rai

Thai VietJet Air, a Thai low-cost airline and an associate company of Vietnamese airline VietJet Air, has revealed their plans to launch two new direct routes from Udon Thani, the sixth most populous city in the country located in the Northeast.

Effective from November, 25, the airline will offer direct flights between Udon Thani and Bangkok's Suvarnabhumi airport

Daily flights will depart from Bangkok for Udon Thani in the morning at 7.20 am with Udon ThaniBangkok flights scheduled to leave at 9.10 am. Flight time is 70 minutes in each direction. On Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday there will be a second flight between the two destinations departing from Bangkok in the afternoon at 4.25 pm.

Effective from November, 26, Chiang RaiUdon Thani route will be operated three times a week – on Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday with evening flights. Flights from Udon Thani will take off for Chiang Rai at 6.05 pm arriving to the destination 65 minutes later. In the opposite direction, the departure time from Chiang Rai is 7.40 pm, arrival time to Udon Thani – 8.45 pm.

Currently, Udon Thani is already connected to Bangkok by flights of several airlines including Nok Air, Thai AirAsia, Thai Lion Air and Thai Smile. Other destinations available from Udon Thani are Chiang Mai, Phuket, Pattaya U-Tapao airport and Hat Yai. Thai VietJet is the first airline that will offer direct flights between Udon Thani and Chiang Rai.
