Best Asian Destinations for Vacation – Smart Travel Asia's Version

If you've run out of ideas where to go for vacation in Asia, look through Smart Travel Asia 'Top 2019 Holiday Destinations' list for inspiration. There is a choice indeed!

Smart Travel Asia runs their Best in Travel polls since 2005. Data is gathered through the online magazine's polling page, social media, readers' emails and reviews. So here is where you might want to consider going for your Asian vacation in 2019.

Bali, Indonesia, is ranked the best destination for vacation in Asia. We tend to agree: with great diving and surfing spots in Amed and Kuta, temples and rice terraces of Ubud and mighty volcanos of the interior Bali is a top choice.

It is closely – and somewhat unexpectedly – followed by Taipei. An emerging destination, it is often compared to Tokyo and has a lot of hidden gems waiting to be explored by an intrepid traveller.

The third line is shared by Hokkaido and Hong Kong, the fourth – by Bangkok and Macao, the fifth – by Shanghai and Dubai. Hey, any sea-sand-sun destinations? Yes, there are some down the list, too.

6 – Phuket (finally some great sea, thanks!), Seoul and Singapore
7 – Angkor (Siem Reap), Koh Samui, Maldives, Hanoi
8 – Rajasthan, Tokyo, Danang & Hoi An
9 – Beijing, Palawan, Bohol
10 – Phu Quoc, Luang Prabang, Hainan in Sanya.

Where would you go?
