More Direct Flights to Link China and Myanmar

China Eastern Airlines laucnhed weekly direct flights between Wuhan and Yangon end of May; Qingdao Airlines added three weekly flights between Tianjin and Mandalay on June, 2.

A new direct flight by China Eastern Airlines, one of China's major airline operating international, domestic and regional routes, introduced on May, 29, links Wuhan, the capital of Hubei Province in China and Yangon, the largest city and former capital of Myanmar. It is the first direct flight from Wuhan to Myanmar. The flights are scheduled once a week on Wednesday. A Boeing 737 aircraft will be used to serve the route. 

Departure time from Wuhan Tianhe International Airport is 11 pm, from Yangon International Airport – 02.35 am local time. China is one hour and 30 minutes ahead of Yangon. Flying time in each direction is about four hours.

On June, 2, Qingdao Airlines launched direct flights between Tianjin, a major port city in northeastern China and Mandalay, the former royal capital in northern Myanmar on the Irrawaddy River. An Airbus A320 aircraft serves the route trice a week – on Wednesday, Friday and Sunday.

From Tianjin Binhai International Airport flights take off at 10.25 am. In the opposite direction, the departure time from Mandalay International Airport is 1.30 pm. Flying time is 4 hours 30 minutes.
