Sightseeing in Style: Danang–Hue Seaplane Tours to Be Launched Soon

A new daily air sightseeing route between Da Nang and Hue will be laucnhed on April, 25. Hai Au Aviation will operate seaplane trips between the two destinations for those who prefer to get acquainted with local sights in style: from aboard a seaplane. 

A 12-passenger Cessna aircraft will be used to serve the route. Flights will be operated between Da Nang International Airport in Danang and Phu Bai Airport in Hue. Daily scheduled departures are planned at 8 am, 9 am, 10.20 am, noon, 1 pm, 2 pm and 3 pm from the both airports. There will be a choice of three types of tours – a half an hour tour, a 40 minutes tour and a longer 80 minutes tour. Tickets will cost USD87, USD155 and USD266 respectively.

The itinerary of the sightseeing tours will cover a bird’s eye view over Danang's pristine beaches, mighty Son Tra and Ba Na mountains, and a picturesque Hai Van Pass as well as some of the Cham Islands located off the coast of Hoi An. Huong River, better known as Perfume River cutting through the former imperial city and Tam Giang Lagoon are also included.

Hai Au Aviation also informed that they are eyeing expansion of their flight network from Da Nang to Quang Binh, Phan Thiet and Nha Trang soon. Currently, Hai Au Aviation is Vietnam's only provider of seaplane services. It runs sightseeing tours over Halong Bay offering the ultimate way to discover the UNESCO World Heritage Site.
