The only other successful competitior which has more than one mentioning in the list is the Philippines with Palawan coming the sixth followed by Cebu (have you heard it is currently closed for tourists?), the eighth.
None of the islands in Thailand made it up to the top-15 this year, surprise. We see neither Phu Quoc in Vietnam nor Koh Rong in Cambodia in the list, what a pity – maybe the next time?
Anyway, if you are looking for the best island destination this year, put your eyes on the Maldives (4), Waiheke in New Zealand (5), Mauritius (7), Paros in Greece (9), Tasmania in Australi (10), Galapagos islands in Ecuador (11), Cook islands (12), Orkley islands in Scotland (13), Maui in Hawaii (14) and Azores in Portugal (15).
