Best 24 Hotels in Asia 2018 Announced

Looking for the best hotel to stay in Asia? TripAdvisor has recently released their annual Travellers' Choice 2018 edition of the 24 best hotels in Asia – now we know where to head for the night.

Out of two dozen of the best properties a hotel in Hong Kong has only one mentioning; two come from Vietnam and three – from Thailand. Cambodia and Indonesia are both featured quite heavily on the list with 4 resorts considered 'best' in each country. India and the Maldives top the list with 5 properties each.

This year, Viroth's Hotel in Siem Reap was named the best hotel in Asia. Stylish, with a vintage touch, it offers its guests an ultimate luxury. Rooms start from USD110. Three other winners from Cambodia, Shinta Mani Shack (from USD150), Central Suit Residence (USD80) and Shinta Mani Angkor (USD180) are all located in Siem Reap, too.

This year's forerunner, Umaid Bhawan Palace Jodhpur in India, wins the hearts of guests with meticulous attention to details – which does not come cheap – expect to shell out USD 400 and up.

Hanoi La Siesta Hotel & Spa in Vietnam occupies the third place. USD80 will buy you a room here – and the staff will do their best to make you enjoy your stay – at least all the travellers say they really do.

The best of the resorts in the Maldives comes the 4th. Prepare USD2000 per night to have a priviledge to stay in Gili Lankanfushi. Indonesia managed to climb to the 9th line of the rating with its Komaneka at Tanggayuda in Ubud (USD300), while Thailand with its Layana Resort and Spa in Koh Lanta is only the 10th but is more budget friendly with rates starting from USD200. The Upper House in Hong Kong (USD600) is the 15th.
