The project of state-funded fare-free bus in the Thai capital to be completed on 31 March this year, but as the Bangkok Mass Transit Authority (BMTA) chief, Naret Bunpiam said, they plan to continue the programme. It should support BMTA, which lost around 80 million baht due to anti-government demonstration held since November 2013 year.
The state-funded fare-free bus project will work at least until BMTA gets a new natural gas-fuelled buses, which will promote the fuel savings. BMTA is facing the financial woes and it can't cope without government support.
