New airport in HCM city should be built faster

According the plan new Long Thanh International Airport in HCM city which should replace functioning Tan Son Nhat International Airport, will be built up to 2030 year. A few days ago Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung said, that it is unacceptably long.

According the plan new Long Thanh International Airport which should replace functioning Tan Son Nhat International Airport, will be built up to 2030 year. A few day ago Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung said, that it is unacceptably long.

The Tan Son Nhat Airport has capacity 25 million passengers per year and it’s already not cope with the load as the number of passengers is growing each day. The Authorities also planned the expand capacity of Tan Son Nhat Airport up to 30-40 million, but according the Prime Minister the most important project is new airport with capacity 80-100 million passengers and the investment in Tan Son Nhat International Airport’ expansion are unjustified.
