The traditional cyclo-rickshaws in Hanoi, Vietnam became a relic of the past, they were driven by electric buggies, which now operate the most popular tourist tours around the capital’s Old Quarter and Hoan Kiem Lake.
The new electric buggies are more comfortable for international tourists, they are equipped with an audio system with information about all interesting destinations in Hanoi in Vietnamese and English. Tourists don’t need to pay a guide or to sweat under the hot tropical sun during all day traveling by rickshaw.
Now 30 electric buggies are available in Hanoi, they operate different routes including all historical sites in the city. The Hanoi’s Administration also reported, that thay plans to forbid vehicles including cyclo in the old city.
