Cebu Pacific will buy Tigerair in Phillipines

One of the main Philippine carrier Cebu Pacific reported, that it plans to buy the rights to ownership Tigerair in Phillipines.

One of the main Philippine carrier Cebu Pacific reported, that it plans to buy the rights to ownership Tigerair in Phillipines, which is the unit of Tigerair budget carrier based in Singapore. Before this airline was known as Southeast Asian Airlines.

The total cost of Philippine Tigerair is US$15 million. As expects, the transaction will be completed within a few months. After that Cebu Pacific and Philippine Tigerair will  jointly operate the flights of both airlines between  the Philippines and Singapore.

The alliance will promote development both of the carriers and will allow them to expand flight schedule in SEA region.
