Land transport prepares to operate Halim Perdanakusuma Airport in East Jakarta

Bus and taxi companies in Jakarta are preparing for transfer some flights of the major airlines from overcrowded Soekarno-Hatta International Airport to Halim Perdanakusuma Airport.

In nearest future some major airlines of Indonesia including Garuda Indonesia, Air Asia and Citilink Indonesia are going to transfer some of their flights from overcrowded Soekarno-Hatta International Airport in Tangerang to Halim Perdanakusuma Airport in East Jakarta, which will serve the most popular routes.

In spite of the date of transfer is still unknown, bus and taxi companies are already preparing for that. The state bus operator Perum Damri said that it will launch 30 new buses from Halim Airport to seven destinations in Jakarta and Bekasi. Later it plans to offer 19 routes with 55 buses.

The additional buses will be launched between two Airports. The main taxi operator from Halim Airport will become Blue Bird Group.
