In spite of increasing of public parking lots' number Vietnam experiences an acute shortage of them. Now the parking places match only 10 % of real demand.

To solve this problem The Prime Minister has approved a proposal to allow the temporary parking at sections of pavements and roadways until 2023 year. So now drivers are able to park at 100 streets which have enough place for that and also leave space for moving vehicles and at least 1.5 meters of pavement for pedestrians.

New Government Decree cancels the ineffective previous one which didn’t allow parking at 262 streets in nine districts.
