Border Bridge between Thailand and Myanmar will work longer

Myanmar and Thailand plans to extend the working time of the border posts on the Myawady-Mae Sot Friendship Bridge.

Myanmar and Thailand plans to extend the working time of the border posts on the Myawady-Mae Sot Friendship Bridge.

Up to this time Myanmar has already approved new rules, its border officials work from 05:00 to 20:00 instead of 06:00 to 18:00. Thailand has not yet given its consent to introduce new schedule.

The prolonging of this checkpoint’s work should be very useful so far as usually a lot of travelers come to the border bridge too late and have to wait one day more to cross the border.
