The construction of Trans-Java double-track will start next year

Early in the first quarter of 2014 year the construction of Trans-Java double-track railroad will start. It should connect the most important cities on this busiest island.

Early in the first quarter of 2014 year the construction of Trans-Java double-track railroad will start. It should connect the most important cities on this busiest island and promote the increasing of trade. The railway will connect Jakarta, Semarang in Central Java, Bojonegoro in East Java and Surabaya in East Java.

The length of the road will be 27 000 kilometres, supposed capacity - 1 million TEUs (20-foot equivalent units). Trans-Java double-track will promote the reducing congestion and the lowering the cost of logistics. Now the project has the highest priority for Indonesian Ministry of Transport.
