Low cost airlines in Asia are gaining popularity at an incredible pace. The first Taiwan private airline TransAsia Airways plans to invest US$100 million in creation first Taiwan-based low cost airline.

Low cost airlines in Asia are gaining popularity at an incredible pace. The first Taiwan private airline TransAsia Airways plans to invest US$100 million in creation first Taiwan-based low cost airline. It will be intended for satisfying the demand of local population primarily.

At this moment the name of new carrier is unknown, TransAsia Airways’s Authorities have announced a contest for the best name. The winner will get free unlimited flights during 10 years.

As it became known, the first low cost carrier will use new Airbus A320/A321 planes and will launch flights next year. The flight schedule and fares are still not announced.
