Malaysian Airport suffered flash floods

At about 3:00 AM last night 44mm of rainfall, which was classified as “heavy”, fell on Malaysia and on Penang International Airport also. In a matter of minutes water spread in the arrival hall on the lower floor of the Airport.

At about 3:00 AM last night 44mm of rainfall, which was classified as “heavy”, fell on Malaysia and on Penang International Airport also. In a matter of minutes water spread in the arrival hall on the lower floor of the Airport. Passenger and visitors had to walk through the water. 

As  senior manager, Mohd Ariff Jaafar reported, the accident didn’t influence on flights schedule. Airport Authority plans to cooperate with Malaysia Drainage and Irrigation Department to provide its protection from the next floods.
