Within the confines of tourist friendly policy and after the increasing of complains the Land Public Transport Commission are tasked to control the taxi industry in Malaysia. The officers will struggle against taxis which don’t use the meters and try to swindle the passengers.

28 taxi drivers were fined at the most tourist places of Kuala Lumpur last Friday. It was just a beginning of a new program. All taxi drivers in Malaysia have to use meters. The infringers would be fined at least 314 dollars USA, jailed for a minimum of two years, or both.
