He explained that enhanced facilities were needed to serve increasing trade and through traffic between Thailand and Myanmar. He added that the province’s Public Works Division had already secured a THB240 million budget for the development.
Mr Nuancharoen continued by saying the division needed to submit a formal request to the Thai Royal Forestry Department for the land required for the extension before any work could start. The actual design of the structures will be themed on national Thai farming heritage.
