Bangkok gets ready for annual big bike fest

The organisers of Bangkok’s big bike festival say there are just nine days to go until the start of the ever-popular annual event. The Bangkok Motorbike Festival (BMF) is the eighth in the series and is scheduled to kick off on Wednesday 27 January.

The venue for BMF 2016 is the landmark CentralWorld shopping and lifestyle mall in the central Pathum Wan District of the city. The event is sponsored by CentralWorld and Zen and features the top motorcycle brand names.

Kawasaki, Yamaha, Suzuki and Honda plus the likes of Indian, Vespa and Zero Engineering have all reserved booths for the fest. Zero is the maker of the original Samurai chopper. There are also booths showcasing the latest protective clothing, helmets and bike adornments.

In the evenings for the five-day festival, the beer garden outside CentralWorld is a favourite meeting point for bike enthusiasts. This is no doubt helped by the fact that quality live music is a standard offering.

The theme for BMF 2016 is Ride with Respect and it is being held between 27 and 31 January. Bikers heading in to Bangkok by train or bus will find 12GO ASIA’s ticketing services offer the utmost convenience.
