He noted that animals or the estimated 100 species of birds in the park could eat waste that had not been disposed of properly. Another potential issue might be pollution damage to trees and plants.
Mr Chansuk urged visitors to bag up any waste or rubbish and take it away with them when they left. He added that another option was to leave the waste bags at checkpoints so that forest rangers could ensure they were disposed of properly.
Nam Nao is in northern Thailand and straddles the borders of Phetchabun and Chaiyapoum provinces. It covers an area of 240,000 acres and is noted for its natural beauty with unspoilt forest and mountain vistas the highlights.
