Pattaya to stage rock fest on Sunday

One of Pattaya’s premier live music venues has confirmed it will be staging a rock fest this Sunday. The finest local and foreign musicians will be strutting their stuff on stage at the aptly named The Venue in Thailand’s inimitable version of the Battle of the Bands.

Seven bands and artistes are due on stage between 14:00 and 21:00. The bi-monthly event has proved to be an unmissable afternoon’s entertainment for music fans since its inception. The Venue says it has upgraded equipment and the stage in the past few months and rock fans will enjoy the enhanced experience.

Crowds are likely to be larger this time around as Sunday falls in the middle of a long holiday weekend in honour of Thai King Bhumibol’s 88th birthday the day before. The Venue is about one kilometre from the shores of Lake Mabprachan, and on the same road as the Outback Golf Bar, in Bang Lamung District.

There are plenty of taxis and baht-buses in Pattaya and Jomtien. Drivers are more than willing to travel outside the city provided the agreed fee meets expectations. 12GO ASIA is your one-stop source for train and bus tickets to Pattaya and other destinations in Thailand and its neighbouring nations.
