Provincial governor Pavin Chamniprasart stated that each of the special trains will accommodate up to 250 passengers. He noted that it was a heaven-sent opportunity to see places peculiar to Lampang, Lamphun and Chiang Mai from the comfort of a railway carriage seat.
The first bespoke railway odyssey took place last weekend and the next is due to take place on the 28th and 29th November and one of its focal points will be the Mae Mo Festival. Additional trips are timed to coincide with national Father’s Day on 5th December, Children’s Day on 9th January 2016 and Valentine’s Day on 14th February.
