8 new railways to be built in Vietnamese HCMC

The Ho Chi Minh City’s Administration has announced the construction of new railways to connect it with Long Thanh Airport and neighboring provinces like Tau, Binh Duong, Tay Ninh, BA Ria-Vung and Long An.

The Ho Chi Minh City’s Administration has announced the construction of new railways to connect it with Long Thanh Airport and neighboring provinces like Tau, Binh Duong, Tay Ninh, BA Ria-Vung and Long An. It should be finished up to the 2020 year.

Airport Rail Link is an especially interesting project, which will give the development for the city and future Airport. It will start at the Thu Thiem Railway Station and extend for 37 kilometers with 18 stops.

The total cost of the eight railway projects is USA $16.1 billion. The money will be received from Vietnam’s government, the private sector and Official Development Assistance funds.
