US rockers Imagine Dragons to play concert in Bangkok

Alternate rock band Imagine Dragons are all set to play a concert at Bangkok’s premier events venue. The US group is scheduled to take the stage at the Muang Thong Thani’s Impact Arena on 29 August 2015.

The Bangkok date is one of many on the band’s global tour to promote second album Smoke + Mirrors. Imagine Dragons are due to play at Seoul’s Olympic Park tomorrow and in Manila two days before the Bangkok concert.

After Bangkok, the group will be off to Australia for a first date in Melbourne on 2 September. The tour will take Imagine Dragons around Australia, New Zealand, the US and Europe with a final concert scheduled for Amsterdam on 5 February 2016.

The Bangkok concert is being staged by Live Nation BEC-Tero Ltd and sponsored by the likes of Singha Beer and the Bangkok Post. Although tickets have been on sale since 23 May there are still some available. Fans can buy them from ThaiTicketMajor outlets at prices between THB1,500 and THB4,000.

Imagine Dragons burst onto the music scene with debut release Night Visions in 2012. The album scooped multiple awards including a Grammy for Best Rock Performance. Three singles have already been taken from Smoke + Mirrors. Among these is the catchy I Bet My Life.
