Liverpool FC get set to play at Bangkok stadium

The Liverpool FC squad is due to arrive in Bangkok ahead of their exhibition football match against a Thai All-Stars team next week. The match is being staged at the Thai capital’s Rajamanagala National Stadium and kickoff is at 20:00 on Tuesday 14 July.

Announcing the Liverpool line-up at a press-conference in Bangkok earlier this month, Harry Kewell said it would be a full-strength team. The one-time Liverpool star said that the squad would even include summer signings Danny Ings and James Milner.

Mr Kewell told reporters that manager Brendan Rogers would be bringing the likes of Daniel Sturridge, Mario Balotelli and Lucas Leiva to Bangkok too. Tuesday’s match will be Liverpool’s sixth one in Thailand. After Thailand, the squad is off to Malaysia and Australia before returning to Anfield for the start of the English Premier League season.

Thailand’s coach, Kiatisak Senamuang, said he was a fan of Liverpool and was really looking forward to the game. He commented that it would provide Thailand’s up-and-coming players with valuable experience in playing against skilled and worthy opponents.

Liverpool-Thailand match tickets are still available and on sale at selected outlets such as 7-11 stores.  12GO Asia is a useful source for your transport reservations needs if travelling to Bangkok for the game.
